U of T Jazz Outreach
U of T Jazz offers an Outreach Program. Our students will come to your school to perform for and work with your students. This peer-to-peer interaction is extraordinarily effective for all. Your students see what is possible to achieve in just a few years with hard work and dedication, and our students get valuable experience teaching what they have so recently learned.
Faculty member Chase Sanborn (JAZZ TACTICS) is the Outreach Coordinator and leads a dedicated Outreach Ensemble. This group has been coached in effective ways to present a clinic, sometimes on their own, sometimes under the leadership of Chase. The group can be expanded or contracted depending on the situation.
The U of T Jazz Orchestras are also available to come to your school to perform and/or clinic. This is a high-impact presentation for your students–the effects will be long lasting.
